What it is

Odd Fellow on the Lake is a wedding and event venue already operating at 9291 Clam Lake Road, on the DeWitt Marine property on Clam Lake. Its website advertises weddings, private parties and corporate events in an “iconic triple-arched Quonset hut,” with lakeside ceremonies and bar service. A 2024 design portfolio describes the “transformation of an existing commercial space into an elegant wedding and event venue.” In spring 2026 the township backed the operator’s application for a state Banquet Facility Permit, the liquor permit for events like these. The records we read don’t give the venue’s guest capacity, parking or hours.

Who is behind it

The liquor application was presented to the Planning Commission by Mark McCool for DeWitt Marine, on behalf of Odd Fellow Events, LLC. The county parcel roll lists the 9291 Clam Lake Road land under Clam Creek Properties, L.L.C., which also owns neighboring parcels. On June 1, 2026, Clam Creek Properties signed a mortgage with Independent Bank covering its land there; it was recorded June 4, 2026 (17 pages; we have not yet read the amount).

Water and sewage

The records we read don’t say how an event business here would handle water or sewage. Sewage permits for a building like this would come from the Health Department of Northwest Michigan or EGLE; we haven’t checked either yet.
